not sure what parts of the MINI or STI to wrap yet...thinking about the center console on the STI and maybe the dash of the MINI.  so far just practicing on some small stuff.

FINALLY got my guitar

so the Gibson Classic Custom in ebony that I ordered 12/31/11 ETA update is late April.  I decided that I wanted to see what else was available IN STOCK at Sweetwater since the Classic Custom is sold out everywhere.  I decided to go with a Classic Plus with the transparent ebony finish.  Here are a few pictures.  It came to my door 2 days after switching the order.

First mods for it are arriving today!

- black top hat knobs

- blank truss rod cover

- black pickup rings

- black input surround

- de-poker chipped toggle switch

- black toggle switch tip

still deciding if I want to put a chrome humbucker cover on the neck and leave the bridge open like my other Les Paul

first snow, first road trip in the STI

so in the last few weeks i drove the subaru down to PA.  longest driving I have done so far in the STI.  did pretty well.  MPG wasn't impressive but that is to be expected on a hilly drive.  seats are fairly comfortable and car rides pretty well for a tuned sporty car.

first snow in the last week.  not enough though to test out how the car really does.

in other news, my new guitar is still on order and won't arrive for some time.

got a new battery for the subaru. nothing fancy, just a bosch replacement unit.

also go a few griffin bluetrip adapters (one for MINI and one for subaru).  also got some new leather boots (shift and ebrake) for MINI.

 

GAS

Guitar Acquisition Syndrome (GAS) has hit me again.  I think I have owned too many guitars over the years for how crappy I am at playing them.  Anyways, it is on order, so we will see when it gets in stock!!
